The interior has been seriously stripped to reduce all potential weight
from the car. Vauxhall put a lot of extra metal in the rear quarter panels,
gear tunnel, door internals and sound proofing - this has all been stripped
out.
Again, even the dashboard is quite heavy as standard. So the metal frame
behind the dash has been lightened, any unused wires have been removed
from the wiring loom and the glove box has been lightened, though it still
retains and shelf as the ECU and relays have been moved to here.
The battery has been relocated to behind the passengers seat to help balance weight, as it was previously located in the engine bay above the drivers footwell.
