Suspension Specification

The cars suspension has now changed considerably from the way Vauxhall designed it. Although the rear end hasn't changed to much, here have been quite a few modifications at the front to make the car handle better and be more responsive.

The rear axle is still running drum brakes, no need for a disc conversion for hillclimbs or sprints. A set of Spax 28 point shocks have been added and 5" 600lbs springs to firm up the rear.

The front shocks have been replaced with Leda oil filled shocks with 24 point damping and adjustable camber. A set of 6" 375lbs coil over springs have been fitted to stiffen up the front. I've also put on a set of eccentric top mounts (TAS 3104) to give more castor and make the steering more precise.

PowerFlex 'purple' poly bushes have been installed on the rear axle and front anti-roll bar. The front lower suspension arms (TAS Motorsport) and front tie rod brackets are now using rose joints rather than bushes.
